I haven’t done much color for several years. I try it now and then, but I seldom like what I get so I abandon it. But that annoys me so I keep coming back to it.
I’m starting to appreciate it more. It can be good if you learn how to use it in your own way. I don’t know yet – maybe ’26 will be a year of more color. Stay tuned…
desert topographics 
This looks good. I have not been able to let go of color in my life of photography. I see so many things in color inside of me I need to use it. I’ve always said maybe I’ll try to shoot a full year all in black and white and something always pulls me back.
Thanks Maureen. I’m not switching totally to color, but for a long time I’ve been doing b/w. I love the hard-edged gut punch of it. To me it suits the wild heart of the desert and I’ll certainly keep doing it. But sometimes I get the urge to do some quieter things. Color may be the way to do that. We’ll see what comes of it.
